What an Incredible Life!

This past weekend, the totally unexpected happened. We were asked to meet a couple of kiddos that will be legally free and need an adoptive family. Wasn't what we were looking for at all. Another 4 year old boy, and his 6 year old sister. Talk about love at first site! They are so much like 4 year old David and 6 year old Amanda. We thought that either the kids would hate each other, or love each other. Guess what?!! They loved each other! And we fell in love with them! Was so hard to take them back to their foster mom last night. Made me cry! Now, in the next few days, we have to see if we will get approved to adopt these babies and hopefully start moving them in! Our Home Supervisor said she really felt God leading her to bring these kids to us, and had no doubt that this was a good match. Now, to start managing having 6 kids 6 and under in the house. So wish I could find a way to get the basement finished. I am beside myself with excitement of not only having more kids, but that God has so much faith in us. What an incredible honor! So, if you would, please add our family to your prayers. We need to come up with the financing to get some expansion on the house. Hopefully by Christmas, I can post a HUGE family pic of my amazing children! So excited. Going to get cranking on some crafts for the baby's adoption party. May God Bless You as He has my wonderful family.

Happy Hump Day!

What a crazy busy week it has already been! Along with our regular busy schedules, all 5 kids along with my husband and myself, have to get current physicals this week, even though we had them done 6 months ago. Since our youngest is getting formally adopted April 8, they want physicals to be as current as possible. I think we are doing more things in preparation for this adoption, than the last one. However, in lieu of the foster/adopt parents from Monument with two "missing" children, I can understand being more thorough. (you can read more about it here - http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/03/10/allegations-abuse-decade-old-missing-childrens-case/) I don't mind, we will do whatever it takes to get this adoption finalized!

On that note, I got my Cuttlebug today! Okay, that was a transition that was as clear as mud. Allow me to explain... I did some embossing by hand for the adoption announcements, and decided it was too much of a pain in the butt. But since I loved the look of the announcements with the embossing, I decided it was time to buy a Cuttlebug. So, I jumped online last week and bought one off of Ebay. I am so excited! They also included several dies, which my little ones will love playing with. So, later tonight, after all the babes are asleep, I will head to the basement and finish putting together more announcements. I will be sure to post one here for input. I am very proud of how they turned out! Look forward to gaining more followers and showing off more work! Spread the word! Time to get dinner started for my munchkins.

Anniversary Card for My Sister-in-Law

Hello Everyone! I thought I would start my own blog by showing off a card my 6 year old daughter and I made together tonight. My husband's sister and her hubby are celebrating 26 years of marriage this week, and we wanted to make them a card to say Congratulations on an amazing accomplishment!

My daughter, Amanda, picked out the paper for part of the card, and even working together with my 17 month old in my lap, managed to get this done in just over an hour. I was very happy with the end result! My only real goof was not having a stamp that read Happy Anniversary! C'est la vie, right? We stamped the inside with God Bless You and felt the front looked just fine without the sentiment. I would appreciate any feedback and to gain a following!

I am also putting together an Etsy shop for our handmade cards and other goodies. So please stop by and take a look!
